Clash for a Cause is big news, and for good reason!

This Friday evening the  Mt Eliza Football FNC’s  and Frankston Bombers will come together for a cause that both clubs feel very strongly about- Awareness & prevention of depression & suicide in our young people.

After more than a decade since our last meeting, both Senior sides will go into the clash with full lists, with the intention of proving who is the better of the 2 grand finalist of our respective leagues!! So be prepared for not just 1, but 3 cracking games of football!!

This match also holds a special significance after the tragic loss of Zach McLaughlin-Dore to suicide last season- Zac played football for both clubs.

Gold coin entry- All money raised will be donated to Lifeline.

See you all Friday evening from 5.30PM to enjoy some quality local footy & to support this great initiative !!  We will be having a minute silence before the game to pay tribute to those lost and just as importantly those that are suffering.

Clash for a Cause.

We both took home second prize in the final game of the year in our respective leagues, so its fitting that we battle it out in a

pres season match!

Friday 17th March at Emil Madsen Reserve, kick off for the Seniors is at 5.30pm with the Unders playing at the same time.  This game will be followed by the Reserves at approximately 7.30pm.

We look forward to the local community showing their support to a great campaign started by the Hocking family after the tragic loss of their son/brother Ben.

Suicide rates for young Australians is the highest it has been in 10 years, with suicide the biggest killer of young Australians and accounts for the deaths of more young people that car accidents. Let’s lift the lid on Depression and Youth Suicide and create a place that our young people feel safe.

All facilities will be open!  We look forward to seeing you there!
