The Week that Was – The Low Down – V Chelsea

Last week we ventured to Chelsea, coming off a great Anzac Day earlier in the week.

The U/19’s started well having 10 scoring shots to 3 in the opening quarter and led by 7 goals at 1/2 time, with Ryan Baker booting 5.
The 3rd quarter saw us kick 3.5 to nil and another 5.6 to nil in the last to run out 106 point winners. Harry Cameron starred up forward also with 7 goals.
Other better players included Housey, Moz, Scotty & Hawk.

The Reserves dominated early in the 1st qtr kicking 4 goals before Chelsea kicked the last couple, but a 5 goal to 1 2nd term saw the game open right up.
An even 3rd term saw us go into the last leading by 5 goals.
We ended up with a 40 point win with Lefty dominating with a career high 6 goals & Groota 2.
Other better players were Stricko, Nugget, Toucs, Matty Paz & Jem.

The Seniors got away to a flyer with 4 early goals before Chelsea fought back in the 2nd with 4 goals to 1.
A low scoring 3rd term saw us go in to the last leading by just 8 points.
They held firm in a tense last qtr to get across the line by a goal.
Knotty was dangerous early with 3 goals, as was JV but that was about it.
Serviceable games came from Heasa, Jay, Robbie, Barto & Langers.
Need a big lift this week v Langwarrin.

Congrats to Nath Ryan & Aaron Dunne on their 50th Games this week and to Langers on his 100th Senior Game.
